Why do even we have these gaming events? To promote Indi games? But big companies still promote their big games. It can be applied to any big company, if Blizzard makes a tween related to Diablo or Starcraft series people would be hyped af. All it takes is a simple trailer or heck, even a tweet to get people talking. Rockstar doesn't need these huge events to market their games.
The most profitable games are usually mobile ones, which are played by kids, which means that if you want to get a huge profit you should make games interesting for them. We love these games cause we played shit out of them, so nostalgia is a huge part, but boomers are not gonna make you rich. Can you imagine Fortnite kids playing outdated GTA 3? I can't. Older GTA fans have been waiting for something like this for years, so it's a sure bet that they'll want to pick it up (as they're tired of V)ĭiablo 3 players are not going to play Diablo I if you remaster it.
